Gantry crane is a deformation of overhead crane, also called gantry crane. It is mainly used for outdoor yard, yard goods, bulk cargo handling operations. The L-shaped steel box type single girder gantry crane consists of four parts, for the bridge, L-shaped outriggers, electric trolley and crane travel mechanism, and all electrical equipment. The control methods are cabin type, remote control type and hoist line type. Generally used for lifting ladles, steel pipes or other long goods, the L-shaped structure is very convenient for the electric trolley to travel and for the turning of goods.
Gantry crane (also known as gantry crane) is a bridge type crane supported on the ground track by the legs on both sides. In the structure by the gantry, large car running mechanism, lifting trolley and electrical parts and other components. Some gantry cranes only have legs on one side, the other side supported on the plant or bridge operation, called semi-gantry crane.
